FlexiOH Short arm immobilizer
FlexiOH® Short Hand Immobilizer is a moldable orthopedic immobilizer designed to provide fixation of the hand and wrist. It provides the necessary rigidity for immobilization in stable and non-displaced fractures while maintaining skin ventilation.
The immobilizer is made from a comfortable, easy-to-apply material that can be conveniently positioned on the injured limb. Once properly positioned, it is cured under light using the RizyCure® curing device or, according to the manufacturer’s specified method, under direct sunlight.
The curing process takes approximately 3–10 minutes, depending on the size of the immobilizer. After the required immobilization period, the product can be removed in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
The FlexiOH® design is developed with patient comfort in mind. The biocompatible foam cushion in contact with the skin, according to the manufacturer’s information, has been tested in accordance with ISO 10993-10 and is designed to reduce pressure from the cured polymer.
The open areas incorporated into the design facilitate air circulation and help moisture and sweat evaporate from the skin surface.
FlexiOH® is made from radiolucent materials and does not interfere with X-ray imaging.
