Wheelchair for kids PC Grizzly

The GRIZZLY children’s wheelchair, manufactured by Polish company MyWam, is designed for children with limited mobility, with a height of 85–140 cm and a maximum weight of 45 kg.

One of the key advantages of GRIZZLY is its adjustable, growth-adaptive design. The backrest height and seat depth can be adjusted to accommodate the child’s changing body dimensions and individual needs.

The wheelchair is equipped with pneumatic wheels with a suspension system, providing smooth and comfortable movement even on uneven surfaces.

Contraindications

If a child should not remain in an upright position for prolonged periods without movement or should not sit for extended periods, the wheelchair parameters should be selected in consultation with a physiotherapist, occupational therapist or another appropriate medical specialist responsible for the child’s care.

Construction

The GRIZZLY wheelchair consists of two main components: a durable frame and a comfortable seat.

The seat is securely attached to the frame using specially shaped hooks located at the front of the wheelchair. Red indicators show that the seat has been correctly secured to the rear locking bar. A characteristic click confirms that the seat has been properly locked into place.

The special mounting system allows the seat to be positioned either forward-facing or rear-facing, depending on the child’s needs.

Important: Before placing the child in the seat, always make sure that the locking mechanisms are properly secured. Hold the seat firmly and gently move it to check the connection. If the seat is securely locked, it will remain in position. If not, check the locking mechanisms and secure them again until the characteristic click is heard.

Adjustment and Customisation

The GRIZZLY wheelchair can be quickly adapted to the child’s anatomical characteristics using its adjustment options and compatible accessories.

The ability to modify the dimensions of the construction, together with specially designed upholstery, allows the wheelchair to adapt to the child’s growth while providing a safe and comfortable seating position.

GRIZZLY is compatible with various accessories, including lower-limb support footrests and flexible inserts for adjusting the seating dimensions. These options make it possible to create a safe and comfortable seating system tailored to the individual needs of the user.
